.
A bakers dozen of us today headed out from Rosthwaite exploring the valleys at the sharp end of Borrowdale. Low cloud and misty rain kept the higher fells mostly hidden and made a valley walk seem a sensible option .
We enjoyed an interesting route visiting the 1500 year old Borrowdale Yews along the way
Lots of water under foot and eventually plenty of the air borne variety meant we were all pretty soaked by the time we reached Stonethwaite and it was agreed to make a shorter return to Rosthwaite than planned
Refreshments were taken at the Flock Inn tearoom
