15 of us walked down the Eden in the brilliant September sunshine.
We saw lots of cormorants , lunched with a view over the river dodging the cows and came back on farmland tracks to Stainton We saw nobody there on the village but admired the Milennium oak. We had a convivial tea at Adeline's Tea Room.

Thank you Elizabeth for today’s great walk and so interesting. Covering ground I had never walked before and yet only a few miles from the City Centre. The photos exaggerate the situation as you can see from Catherine’s leisurely stroll down to the gate
