Twelve of us set out from Canonbie Hall, hoping to enjoy this wonderful Indian Summer, and we were not disappointed!
The group surmounted all obstacles with ease - steep steps, nettle-infested paths, big bull in a field - nothing stops Carlisle Ramblers!
Many thanks to you all for being such a great group. Special thanks to Anne for her many roles: backmarker, co-leader and general-looker-after of the group, and organizer of the fantastic tea, coffee and home baking we enjoyed at the end of the walk, courtesy of the fantastic group of volunteers at Canonbie Kirk Cafe: the tastiest and best value to be had anywhere.
