Eight members today out on the tough walk starting off from the car park at Brothers Water.

A glorious day if a little cool to start off but all soon warmed up with the steep pull up High Hartsop Dodd. The walk went very much according to plan taking in Little Hart Crag, Middle Dodd and Red Screes. Lunch being taken on Middle Dodd. The views off the summit of Red Screes were spectacular today and some time was spent lookig around at the panoramic scene. It was then down via the steep but interesting route to Kirkstone Pass. A long walk in the afternoon sunshine back to Brothers Water stopping for a pic at the Kirkstone. Great views all day on this cracking walk. Thanks to the gang who pitched up, such an intellectual group who’s deep and meaningful conversation revolved around the merits of Tunnocks caramel wafers. I learned a lot today.
