Walk & Event Reports

The 21 who set off from Langholm on a dreich day waited eagerly for the forecast improvement in the weather...and waited...and waited...and waited.  It never happened, but never mind!  All arrived safely at the Thomas Telford Birthplace car park and set off into the forest.  Disappointingly, no-one braved the fords (raging torrents on the day), preferring the tricky bridges.
Judging by the cheery chatter, the walk was enjoyed despite the weather, and with a little imagination the views over the forest were spectacular!   A dry lunch venue in the Greensykes Bothy was appreciated, as was the warm welcome in the First Bite cafe at the end of the day.  Many thanks to all who ventured out, especially to Anne who backmarked ably and organized the refreshments.
