Thursby - Chalkfoot Quarry

We were blessed with largely clear skies and sunshine for a slow-paced, shorter walk round Thursby taking in Cumdivock and Chalkfoot Quarry used often for building stone from the Romans onwards. We walked mainly on footpaths not often walked and several walkers noted that they hadn't been there before. There were 27 of us and we managed to nearly lose a few in the quarry woods but all turned up again and we went for tea at Orton Grange. Thank you all for coming and for Ken for taking care of the tail end.
