Fred and me (honory Member of the Club) set off from Cherrie Mansion to walk to The Sheep Mount and Back. Distance Approx. 7 miles, grade 3.
Boots dusted, rucksack filled with provisions Fred and I set off at 09.00. Weather was fabulous. We headed down Eastern Way, Crossed Warwick Road by the Toby Inn and “climbed” up the Flood Defences. Down to Stoney Holme to take the path to the back of The Sands. Worth stopping to look at views and sculptures to Hadrian’s Wall. Under Eden Bridges and towards The Sheep Mount. Swung back towards The Sands and followed the river path back to Tesco and Cherrie Mansion for delicious Tea and Hot Cross Bun. People very polite and took great care to keep their Social Distance. Great walk
