Report by Nancy McLure

Nineteen people assembled at the car park in Langholm on a beautiful, crisp, sunny morning. We set off up the track to the summit of Warbla and enjoyed the views of the town and surrounding hills. The descent from the trig point on rough ground was slower but everyone made it without sliding or falling as far as I am aware! We continued south on the track in bright sunshine to Middleholms before crossing the field and heading for the A7. Once this was safely crossed,  we reached the riverbank of the Esk and enjoyed lunch al fresco, not something I've done for some time. We then headed back in the direction of Langholm noting the flood damagedSkipper's Bridge. We explored Easton's and Gaskell's walks before returning to Langholm and delicious scones and drinks at the Buccleuch Centre
