Walk & Event Reports

Having seen todays weather forecast we went to the Sands hoping nobody would turn up for the walk.

Unfortunately not, and after a quick discussion the ten of us decided to give it a go.

It looked a bad idea as we drove through wind and rain to get there, but luckily the weather the other side of Kirkstone Pass was much better.

We set of from the Mortal Man car park in light drizzle which stopped fairly soon.

We climbed Troutbeck Tongue and had lunch along the ridge before descending back into the valley and picking up the return path.

The rain returned and we got a bit damp before arriving back at the car.

Refreshments were had in the pub, coffee, cake and a pint of Sally Birkett's beer.

Thanks to all who turned up making a good day out with plenty of laughter and good crack.
