11 of us set off from Grange and took the lower path to Seatoller. We passed Millican`s cave and crossed the Derwent by the packhorse bridge   On arrival in Rosthwaite, we promptly got lost – unbelievable. However, hawkeye Judy spotted a footpath sign written in pencil on a piece of wood – no wonder we walked past it first time – and we were soon on track

We lunched at the bridge near Peat Howe – lovely spot   We then took the path past the Youth Hostel to Seatoller

For our return to Grange by the higher path, we had rain pretty much the whole way. We were glad to get a warm welcome and warm drinks at the cottage café in Grange. Lovely group and good chinwag
