Walk & Event Reports

.

We alighted from the train at Lockerbie into a biting cold wind which attended our walk to Askrigg Nature Reserve. In the reserve we spent some time in a hide seeing a red squirrel which was just too fast for the camera. We did enjoy watching a plethora of different birds on the feeders and also saw a red kite flying above the forest. The visitor centre had a board where we recorded our observations before continuing our walk into the forest. Back in Lockerbie we stopped for lunch in Café 91 before returning to the train station and home.
