Walk & Event Reports

We were blessed with good weather for the walk which brought us all out today. Nine of us started out from the bus station on the 64 bus; a slight change of plan, but a very nice ride. From the road alongside Asda we took a trail through Kingmoor Nature Reserve North into the woods. The birds were in full voice in the trees and when we had crossed the road to the South Reserve, we heard a woodpecker although we didn't manage to spot it. There was mud but mainly leaf mould and we were rewarded with bluebells and wild garlic. Hazel joined us there for the final part of the walk through Etterby and along the Scaur. We finished the walk through Bitts Park and through the underpass for a welcome drink at Adeline's.
