Eight walkers arrived in Dumfries to a light rain which soon stopped as we walked from the train station into town. After walking by the mid steeple we turned down towards the river. On Whitesands we walked along the river Nith heading seawards and into Dock Park. We crossed the river on the newer bridge at the end of the park to the opposite bank, where we were all excited to observe a bore running up the river. Continuing the walk to Degorvilla's bridge, we crossed back on to Whitesands. We finished our walk with a late lunch at a café called "The Usual Place" before hopping on the train back to Carlisle.
