Another delightful Thursday night walk, 10 of us met at the Car Park in Langholm to be met by people preparing to 'ride out' in preparation for the Common Ridings.
After setting off along the road we set off up the hill towards Whitta, although we did not go all the way to the top of Whitta and the monument on top it was still a good work out and swift progress was made across the Braes to the track.
The good thing about this walk was after making it to the track it was downhill all the way and although the weather threatened to give us a good soaking it behaved itself long enough for us to complete the walk.
After a change of footwear it was onto The Eskdale Arms for supper.
