The last Thursday walk of the year and what a walk it was. We had to abandon our proposed route due to an enormous sea of mud and cow dung blocking our way. It’s the worst I’ve ever come across and believe me I’ve been well and truly in the !@** many a time. We tried to find a way round but it was no good and we ended up going well off piste. During this little adventure we came across a strange little community, several little log cabins and a quaint water generator, an interesting little place. We finally arrived back in Cumwhitton, by torchlight, where we had a lovely dinner in The Pheasant Inn. We had a go at the quiz, came 4th and won £5. Just in case you were wondering there were considerably more than four teams taking part. A lovely evening, as all the Thursday evenings have been. I’ll have to take up a hobby to occupy me on Thursday nights, all suggestions welcome. Thanks to everyone who came along, special thanks to Lynda for her tray of Ferrero Rocher, we do things in style on Thursday nights. Roll on next summer.
