.

4 damsels and 1 gent headed north hoping for the predicted sunshine and we weren’t disappointed. It was definitely a day where damsels dominated as the common blue damselfly were out in abundance.

The walk provided fabulous scenic views across the very different Lochs and a backdrop for the local history.

The beautiful wooden sculptures by Peter Balshaw in the woods around Castle Loch were a highlight and despite the bee’s nest at the Robert the Bruce tree sculpture- no one got stung.

On the way home we paid our respects at the thought -provoking Lockerbie Air Disaster Memorial Garden of Remembrance.

The walk ended with delicious Crolla ice cream treats in Lochmaben followed by coffee and cakes at

Just Be in Lockerbie.

Sorry if due to short notice you missed the walk but thankyou for those who came- it was a great day.
