What can I say about the walk today. On a positive note everyone got back safely. I understand it was disappointing not to have got up Fairfield but I dont think it would have been a lot of fun up there today, there’s always another day. The picture across Grisedale tarn shows a very clear fairfield that looks reasonably inviting, 15 minutes later it looked the grimest place in the Lakes. A lesson there somewhere.Also, the pictures dont show wind The day got even worse on a personal level, very small slice of victoria sponge in comparison to some I saw. Not sure I will sleep tonight.
