A Walk - Jean Murray
A group of 5 set out from Pooley Bridge determined to conquer the full Ullswater Way. Although a little damp at times the sun did eventually make a very welcome appearance to finish off the day. Later coffee stop in the morning with scones was well worth the wait! Nearly 22 miles in total so well done all a great achievement. Thank you to everyone who waited at Pooley Bridge for us to come over the finishing line!

Seventeen club members out today doing various sections of the Ullswater Way with some lucky folk also enjoying a blustery trip on the Ullswater steamer. Special mention for the famous five who completed the full 21 miles in less than ideal conditions. Even on a day of low cloud and heavy showers Ullswater looked beautiful and everyone enjoyed the scenery if not the weather. On the way round we met a walking group from Blackpool also enjoying ramble along the Ullswater Way.
It made me think how fortunate we are to have the lakes on our doorstep. A great day out and some money raised for a good cause along the way
