Eight late night revellers managed to get out for this short walk around Buttermere. Driving down the valley it looked very uninviting with the rain coming down pretty heavy. On leaving the cars things were not so bad and we managed to get just over half way around before we were caught in a heavy downpour. No real chance to stop for tea on the way so at the end we headed into the Cafe for a late lunch. The Cafe was busy so we weren’t the only half wits that had been wandering about in the rain. All in all it was a nice bit of exercise in some of our loveliest countryside.
