Carlisle & District Rambling & Fellwalking Club
Walk & Event Reports
A good turn out today of 19 walkers for my first time as a leader. The weather was moody with clouds looming at times, but lucky for us only a few spots fell. It was a little breezy at times and chilly for June but everyone seemed to enjoy the day out. A couple of the hills were steep, but there were glorious views from the tops.
A few of us popped off to bag another Birkett, then joined the rest of the gang having lunch in a sheltered spot near a stream.
Not too strenuous today, and thankfully no calamities!
The kirkstile Inn was chocka so we went for a post walk drink at the wheatsheaf Inn.
Thankyou to everyone who turned up and made it a lovely day. 🙂
