Six of us set out for the walk along the valley. It was cloudy but fine and pleasant walking to Chapel Stile where we sat alongside the beck for lunch. It started to throw a few drops of rain as we walked up to the quarry view point to marvel at the huge hole but came on heavier as we continued through the temperature rain forest of old oak on the fellside. It never really stopped raining and we were glad to get back to the coach to get out of our wet clothes. An interesting walk and new to most of us.
