A difficult start to the walk as parking was chaos. Was everyone at Hartsop this morning as well as 20 of us. Once the parking got sorted out we were able to get on with the days proceedings. It transpired we left two potential new members behind. I believe this was because they had to go elsewhere to park and I was not aware they had turned up. If this was you I can only apologise and I hope this does not put you off giving it another go.
Anyway we hit the hill doing the steep slog up to the summit of Hartsop Dodd. The ground conditions were hard but the weather was great. Stony Cove Pike for a lunch in the winter sunshine. Most enjoyed a shot of Ginger Wine during lunch.We had a visit to John Bells Banner and the summit of Caudale Moor before the long steep down climb. A lovely walk along the side of Brothers Water and back to Hartsop. Thanks to the 20 who came out and I hope you enjoyed the walk.
