8 of us set off from Mardale Head along road towards dam at far end of Haweswater.With a strong blustery wind behind us,we soon passed the Haweswater hotel & arrived in Burnbanks in good time.With the blustery wind now in our face the pace slowed.The weather stayed mostly dry with spells of sunshine,but to eventually see the car park was a welcome sight.
