Today was one of those days - the one in a million days where you just take stock and think - it's so good to be alive and well enough to get up that hill to enjoy true fresh air, spectacular views and good company.  Seven of us on the B walk which pete and I had reccie'd last week; that was enjoyable but today was special.  We had snow and sunshine. The spectacular views were made more special with the weather conditions.  We all got to use our crampons.  The snow was quite deep in places but thanks to Neil and Pete walking in front we were all able to use their footsteps which made it easier.  Although there were a couple of mishaps there was nothing too serious as you will see from the photos.  Pete decided to play snowballs and he had a good shot at Neil but I think he must have had his eyes shut because he managed to hit An unsuspecting walker who was sitting lapping up the sun it was all taken in good fun though. We finished off the day at the Haweswater hotel - enjoying Victoria sponge and scones and tea.
