Walk & Event Reports

Proper winter conditions today with lots of snow and a good amount  of sunshine that combined to make a great day

Eight  walkers set off from  Coldbeck common and were soon joined by a ninth (glad you caught us up, Judith!) .
Climbing steadily we reached the snow line then onto the top of High Pike where a bitter wind made for a quick coffee stop. There was some shelter from the wind on the top of Carrock Fell and even time to build a (very) small snowman.
Retracing our steps there were fine views all round and some dramatic cloudscapes. A relatively short but memorable day. Thanks to all who came along.
