Only four of  us braved the snow today and we were rewarded with a lovely walk.We stayed local and took in

Rickerby Park,Tarraby,Houghton and Kingstown. Despite having lived in Carlisle for many years it was the first time Frank

had ever crossed the Memorial Suspension Bridge and visited Carlisle's mini Stonehenge. It was tough going at times, plodding through the snow and it was extremely muddy in patches. We came across something I never thought I would see in Carlisle,

an igloo and it was very well made too. It was a lovely day for walking and despite doing nine miles we arrived back at

the sands in time to go for a late Sunday lunch at the Near Boot. All in all a lovely day out.
