When we pulled up at White Moss car park, the start for walk 2, I thought, hang on, the entire coach load (which was full) was getting off. So my thanks to the 24 who stayed on the coach to join me in a rather off the cuff walk, due to my original plan not being doable because of the predicted gale force winds on the higher fells. Not sure if the gales materialised but 24 of us took the route up to Silver How where we enjoyed fine views over Grasmere.  An interesting, varied and in some parts challenging ramble took us across the fellside, back down to the lakeside & into Grasmere for refreshments.
