Walk & Event Reports
A walk of great beauty, tranquillity ,warmth – this was definitely not – but it was much closer to such a description than virtually anything we have had in our recent prolonged rainy season. The old railway line from Threlkeld to Keswick is by any standards a beautiful route. The path tends to be quiet at the start and more populated near to the town. We had a group of eight, some of whom knew it well, others not so familiar. We finished in sufficient time to either explore Keswick or explore the shores of Derwentwater. Not a taxing mountain walk but very enjoyable. Thanks to Stephen for leading it.
