Carlisle & District Rambling & Fellwalking Club

Walk & Event Reports

.

A steady walk in brilliant sunshine up to the summit of Blencathra. Items of clothing taken off we had to remind ourselves it is only March. A short stop on the summit before heading along the ridge a short way for a very leisurely lunch. Today the views were spectacular with hill tops to be seen for miles around, counting the visible Wainwrights would have been a real task.
We headed down Blease Fell to the Blencathra Centre then a change of scenery through fields and woodland to the old Railway walk. As promised I had arranged the ice cream van, sorry for the wait while other members of the public also cued for refreshment. Then a nice easy walk into Keswick and the search for Ians fleshpots ( I think he must be confused with another club he is a member of).
thanks to those who came along, a cracking day.

Pete.
