Unfortunately Pete was unable to lead the planned walk for today but an alternative route was quickly arranged for 8 members and 2 dogs, Bella and Archie. Starting from Hartsop car park our legs had a short warm up before a bit of a steep pull up onto Gray Crag 698m. Continuing along the ridge it was relatively easy going before reaching Thornthwaite Crag 784m and lunch. Descending back down by the path alongside Pasture Beck, a little tricky in some places, we all returned back to the cars with big smiles! 6 miles with 2171ft ascent and 2 Wainwrights for the Wainwright baggers. Thanks all who turned up and bravely came along on this last minute alternative route and substitute leader! Great day with great company and crac! See you all again soon! Hope you mend quickly Pete we missed you lots!
