Carlisle & District Rambling & Fellwalking Club
Walk & Event Reports
Six adventurers braved the Cumbrian "Summer" today. We headed up High Pike where the weather got increasingly worse with wind and rain.
We sheltered on the top and had a small lunch.
On our way across to Carrock fell we made a group decision to abandon the walk due to the dangerous conditions of sideways hail/rain and the 50mph winds. Typical August bank holiday weekend!
We safely got back to the cars and had nice drink and natter in the oddfellow's arms at Caldbeck.
Thank you for your company.
We will get up Carrock fell another day.
Astrid 😊
