Walk & Event Reports

A great turnout today for the B walk, seventeen set off from the Sands and what a wonderful day we had. Fantastic weather, like a summer day, it was hard to believe it’s only February. If it’s because of global warming, bring it on. Fantastic weather, fantastic views and even if I say so myself, just a fantastic walk. It wasn’t the usual walk I do for Sale Fell, I included a little circular route round Wythop Mill and I must confess to not having time to do a recce but it turned out to be a lovely part of the walk, the highlight being three Alpacas we came across. Two seemed a bit shy and stayed just out of arms length and who can blame them, when I think of who was on the walk but one had no fear and seemed very fond of boiled sweets. I must admit, I never realised Alpacas had such big teeth but fortunately he(if it was a he, I didn’t look that closely, I was too busy watching his teeth) was more interested in the sweets than my hand. A lovely day, I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope everyone else did as well. Thanks to a all who came along.
