B Walk

Corbridge Circular

11 Miles Grade 3

Leader: Graham Bell

Report & Photos by John Mckay

A good turnout today on the coach, thirty eight made the trip to Corbridge. Eighteen of us were lead off on the B walk by the leader, Graham Bell. This walk turned out to be a most  un “Bell like” walk. Not many stiles, not much mud but it wasn’t entirely  un “Bell like” as it turned to be just over 2 miles further than advertised, that’s quite accurate for Graham I suppose.  At times I wondered if it was the walk he planned or was he just mellowing in his old age. Regardless, it was a wonderful walk, lovely interesting woodland paths, lovely countryside and best of all, no big hills to speak of. It just goes to show you don’t need hills to have a good walk, something I’m very grateful  for these days. A great crowd, lots of good crack and Graham had arranged with the No 6 café  to be ready for us. A great day, great weather and a great walk and all for only £1, you don’t get better value than that. Many thanks Graham for a wonderful day.
