37 turned up at the Sands.....ermmmm I mean 7 to challenge the storm that was forecast. It didn’t seem that bad at Carlisle but the storm had already arrived when we got to Braithwaite. The Whinlatter area was barely visible and the wind and rain had already got up. It wasn’t much of a choice but we opted to head to the Base Camp Cafe for a cup of coffee and Bacon Roll and leave the hills for another day. Sorry for dragging the small group all that way but we tried and sometimes its best to let the weather win. Thanks for coming.
