Great turn out today, 47 on the coach and 26 for the B walk. A warm welcome to Sheena, on her first walk with the club and a happy birthday to Pat Goulding, who dyed her hair purple for the occasion and very nice it looked too. It was a steady climb from the start up Puddingstone  Bank and we deserved our tea and coffee stop at the Café at Watendlath. It’s a pity all walks don’t have a café along the way. We made our way alongside Watendlath Beck in perfect walking weather, dry, warm but not too warm and had our lunch at the ever popular and busy Ashness Bridge.  After lunch the group split, with nine members taking the low path to Keswick and the rest taking the high path via Walla Crag. We enjoyed some great views from Walla Crag so it was well worth the effort getting there. From Walla Crag it was downhill all the way to Keswick for some well deserved refreshment. Much of the talk during the walk was about some boring, insignificant royal wedding that took place on Saturday. Not being a fan of royalty or weddings I didn’t have a lot to say about it, probably just as well. Thanks to all those that came along, I hope you enjoyed it.
