Braithwaite, Stair and Keswick

By the time we got to Braithwaite the rain was heavy but showing on Judiths weather app that it would clear in 43 minutes. Consequently we took up residence in the Cafe in the village for half an hour. Sure enough 41 minutes later it eased off and that was pretty much all we saw of Storm Ashley. The five of us headed off  through Little Braithwaite onto Stair and Hawesend for Lunch. The weather brightened and it even got sunny. It was then Portinscale and Keswick before heading back to the cars. Base Camp Cafe was used for after walk tea and cakes. All in all not a bad little walk and the knee held out so I didn’t need carrying back. Thanks to the group who braved it out.
