Grasmere to Ambleside

I’ve just read the A walk report. “Storm force winds, heavy rain, thick mist and no views as well as being treacherous underfoot”. You have to wonder what area they were in but then again, I have wondered for quite some time what planet some of the A walkers are on, never mind area. We had no such problems on the C walk. Eighteen of us, superbly led by Sandra, had a lovely walk along the shores of Rydal Water and Grasmere. We were joined by Tony Jackson, out on his first walk after a long illness, it was great to see him out again and looking so well, welcome back Tony. Nobody gave up at Rydal, we all made it easily to Ambleside where we scattered to various coffee shops before boarding the coach to collect the A walkers, who had safely re-entered the atmosphere on the other side of Ambleside. Many thanks to everyone for their company and special thanks to Sandra for a lovely walk.
