Walk & Event Reports

Hands up anyone who’s seen their Brocken Spectre? Well fifteen walkers encountered their ghostly reflections today on the appropriately named Brockle Crag. A fairly modest ramble but made memorable due to the weather conditions. After witnessing the spectres we made our ascent up narrow Burn Tod beck to reach the miniature mountain pass of Trusmador. Hard frozen ground with a light sprinkling of snow made for a relatively dry crossing over usually boggy terrain and we descended to Uldale common completing a circuit of the interestingly named Great Cockup
Fell. Refreshments were taken at the Craggs
Thanks to everyone who came along
