Castle Crag/ Catbells to Portinscale

Weather a bit bleak and damp today but everyone enjoyed a nice remembrance service up on castle crag, the smallest wainwright. 12 people braved the journey to catbells. Welcome to a couple of new members. It may have been more pleasant with less mud and slippery rocks but it was mild and no wind, and lovely moody scenery.
We met a very tame Robin on the way down, then enjoyed an autumnal walk through the woodland to the cafe for a warm drink.
