Walk & Event Reports

A mixed day weather-wise but we avoided the worst until the end of the walk .
The walking from remote Dent station was generally easy going on firm paths with increasingly fine views of Ingleborough and Pen y Ghent. We enjoyed  a spell of warm sunshine  for lunch before pressing on, aware of the need to make  Ribllehead in good time. As the weather turned more threatening we avoided the crossing of Blea Moor and instead took the Dales Way leaving a two mile section of road walk to our final destination. There was time to walk down to the viaduct for a close up view of the impressive structure before getting the return train in good time. Thanks to the five brave souls who joined me on ths walk.
