Carlisle & District Rambling & Fellwalking Club

Walk & Event Reports

Fifteen club walkers made it to Pooley Bridge to take the first Steamer of the day to How town

The short sailing gave us a different view of the fells and the weather looked promising and turned out to be better than expected as we stayed dry for the whole of the day. We followed oaths up the quiet Fusedale valley before making the stiff climb on to High Street with good views over Ullswater and surrounding fells. There was time to explore Bonscale Pike and get up close to its  two towers before winding our way round to Arthur’s Pike and making our return to Pooley Bridge
A great day spent in good company
